Cold water carnivorous fish, in a first stage it develops its life cycle in fresh water, then it is transported to the sea for cultivation. It is widely cultivated in the south of Chile, between regions IX and XII. In land for its freshwater stage and in saltwater bodies for its fattening stage.
Demersal fish that lives between 50 and 400 mt. deep within the first 60 miles of the coast. It is distributed between regions IV and X.
Highly migratory pelagic oceanic fish of wide distribution in the South Pacific. It is distributed between regions III and XI, at depths of up to 100 m.
Fish of bento – demersales habits that lives associated to rocky substrates between 50 and 500 m. It is distributed from Region IV to Cape Horn, mainly between Regions X and XII.
Demersal fish that lives between 50 and 3800 m. Of depth. It is distributed throughout the coast, and outside the exclusive economic zone.
